Classic con brio Festival, Osnabrueck

The EUYO is immensely proud of its special relationship with its Honorary President, Hans-Gert Poettering, former President of the European Parliament, so when he made a personal request for the orchestra to give a concert in Spring 2009 in his home city of Osnabrueck, it was an invitation we immediately accepted. We were very happy to visit the Niedersachsen region of Germany for the first time and our gala concert was the concluding event in Osnabrueck's classic con brio Festival, with its trio in residence, the Storioni Piano Trio. A classical-size orchestra of 66 players came together from across the EU for a short rehearsal residency before the concert in the Europasaal, conducted by the Festival's artistic director, Professor Hubert Buchberger
