British-born, Kim Sargeant joined the EUYO in June 2007. After training as a percussionist at London's Royal Academy of Music, he combined a freelance orchestral career in London with teaching, reviewing, artist management, record production and concert promotion before becoming the Festival Organiser at the Cheltenham International Festival of Music for over 12 years, where he also served on the board of the European Festivals Association. After three years at the BBC National Orchestra of Wales as Artistic Administrator, he was invited to become Associate Director of the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague and followed this with a year as Programme Consultant of the Flanders Festival in Brussels. He returned to orchestral management as General Manager of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. He is delighted to be able to bring all his experience of orchestral management, working with and for young people, and across Europe, to bear in his present role.

Benjamin Noakes, Orchestra Manager

Ben studied music at Lancaster University and has previously worked as orchestra manager with the City of London Sinfonia, English Sinfonia, and for five years with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, in addition to freelance fixing and event management for other ensembles. He also enjoys performing as a pianist, accompanist, church organist and singer when time allows.

French-born, Alix has joined the Arts world after ten years working on international development and humanitarian issues, for organisations including the Foreign Office, International Committee of the Red Cross and the European Commission, in Kosovo, Colombia, Rwanda and Israel/Palestine. She speaks French, English, Italian and Spanish and a smattering of German. A keen singer (with the Bach Choir) and grand-daughter of professional musicians, she is delighted to devote her time and efforts to promoting young musicians.
